Elderly Caregiver
Is it your calling?
Our caregivers play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to residents within the facility. The primary objective is to ensure the well-being, comfort, and safety of the residents while promoting independence and maintaining their dignity.
Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care Assistance:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Help with mobility and transfer as needed.

Medication Management:
-
Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
-
Monitor and record residents' medication intake.
-

Emotional and Social Support:
-
Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents.

Engage in conversation, companionship, and recreational activities.
-
Observe and report any changes in residents' behavior or mood.

Meal Assistance:

Assist with meal planning, preparation, and serving.

Ensure that residents' dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

Housekeeping and Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness in residents' living spaces.

Perform light housekeeping duties and ensure a safe environment.

Communication:

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff members.

Communicate effectively with residents to understand and address their needs.

Record Keeping:

Document and maintain accurate records of care provided.
-
Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Emergency Response:

Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow established protocols.

Attend training sessions to stay updated on emergency procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in assisted living or a similar setting.

Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in the well-being of seniors.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and remain calm in challenging situations.

Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
